Marcus Young is the founder and director of IN FIRE (Inheritance Fire), a global nonprofit committed to rescuing and restoring children affected by violence, conflict, and exploitation. Born and raised in the Philippines as a fourth-generation missionary, Marcus has spent his life serving in some of the most dangerous and overlooked regions in the world.
Through IN FIRE, Marcus has helped lead efforts to rescue children from armed groups, human trafficking, and systemic poverty. The ministry provides safe homes, education, and long-term support to help children heal and thrive. IN FIRE also equips young survivors to grow into leaders who bring peace and transformation to their communities.
One of the core values shaping Marcus’s work is the call to Love Your Enemies. Rather than respond to violence with violence, IN FIRE believes in rebuilding communities through reconciliation, forgiveness, and justice rooted in love. This approach has allowed IN FIRE to reach areas others cannot, building trust and creating lasting change from within.
Under Marcus’s leadership, IN FIRE continues to grow as a network of field workers, donors, and innovators who are committed to standing in the gap for the world’s most vulnerable children and raising up the next generation of peacebuilders.
