Randy and Kathy Sheaffer have dedicated more than 25 years to serving in Mexico, with over two decades on the mission field and the past ten years as seasonal missionaries. Their passion is to see revival touch every generation. With hearts for equipping leaders, they focus on teaching, training, and mentoring pastors and young adults so that local churches are strengthened, disciples are raised up, and communities are transformed by the power of the gospel.
Their base of ministry is in Mérida, Yucatán, a vibrant city that blends Latino cultures from across the region—Cuba, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, Colombia, and beyond—alongside a strong Mayan population whose villages often preserve traditional ways of life. From this unique crossroads of cultures, Randy and Kathy minister through friendship, compassion, and encouragement, modeling the Kingdom of Jesus in both word and deed.
Through Shining His Light Ministries, the Sheaffers lead mission teams each year, empowering believers to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus. Their ministry is not about building structures, but about building people. Over the years, they have witnessed countless testimonies of healing, deliverance, and personal revival as pastors are equipped to shepherd their congregations and young adults are mentored to reach their peers. The fruit has been lasting: churches have grown stronger, leaders more confident, and the next generation more alive in Christ.
