Bishop Joseph L. Garlington, Sr. and his wife Barbara have dedicated their lives to the ministry of reconciliation, building bridges across cultural, racial, and denominational lines. For decades, they have been recognized as voices of healing and unity, calling the church to embody the love of Christ and the power of the Spirit.
In 1990, Bishop Garlington founded Reconciliation Ministries International (RMI), when a diverse group of leaders gathered to seek God’s direction for a shared vision. What began as a small team has grown into a worldwide network of nearly 1,000 churches and five-fold ministers, working together to see revival, renewal, restoration, and reformation in the body of Christ.
Grounded in the conviction that all Scripture is inspired by God and is the foundation for faith and practice, RMI continues to equip leaders, strengthen churches, and model what it means to live out the ministry of reconciliation. Through their ongoing influence, Bishop Joseph and Barbara remain a source of encouragement and guidance to countless leaders and communities around the world.
