Here is how Life Center's Live Streaming feature works:

1. Make sure that you have the latest Flash Plugin (available by clicking the Flash logo below). You must have Flash Plugin installed to participate in Life Center's Live Stream. You may already have the Flash Plugin, and this is one of the reasons we chose this method to deliver our Live Stream (most people have Flash, or don't mind upgrading to the latest version). Another reason is the quality of the video stream. Flash delivers a very clear video image, even when compressed for streaming. (Note: The size of the image we will stream is 640 pixels wide by 480 pixels tall, a standard web video delivery size).

2. You will need a broadband internet connection to receive a consistent video and audio stream. Video requires a lot of bandwidth, and dial up connections just don't have enough to get a good quality, consistent stream. A cable or DSL connection will give you the amount of bandwidth required for Live Streaming.

3. Limit internet use during the Live Stream. Even with all that wonderful bandwidth, you may experience a poor quality stream, if you are also using your household connection to download files or catch up on your myspace account.

4. This is LIVE! Yes, it is happening as you are watching it (maybe a 2-3 second delay), which is exciting, but could also be frustrating. Because we are broadcasting over the internet, we cannot control all the cyberspace issues that the stream may experience between us and you. You may have the best and fastest of connections. We have a dedicated broadband connection sending one stream of video and audio to a delivery service. We have chosen a delivery service that has a stellar reputation. But even with all this, you will most likely experience some drop outs and stutters as you view the event.

5. We have provided an email link on the Live Stream page. We will be monitoring this email during each streaming session, so please connect if you are experiencing any difficulty.

After you make your payment through PayPal by clicking the button below, you will be sent an email with a direct link to the streaming page. Keep this email and use it to go to the streaming page for every session of this event. Please make sure that your email spam filters are off and check your junk mail box just in case your computer doesn't recognize the incoming email. After you make your payment, don't close the browser window. Just to make sure that you receive this link, PayPal, after a few moments, will redirect you to a web page that contains the streaming link.

Click this "buy now" button to gain accesss to the Live Stream Presentation page.

This service requires a broadband internet connection to function properly. You will also need the latest Flash Plugin which you can downloaded here. If you are experiencing any difficulty with your viewing experience, please email rickpickens@mac.com to receive help with troubleshooting.
