We desire to reach masses of churched and unchurched youth with the love and presence of God. Our goal is to identify their God given gifts and purposes, provide proper training and unleash them to change the world around them.
Our foundation is based upon Acts 2:41-43 Those who accepted his message were baptized and about three thousand were added to their number that day. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer. Everyone was filled with awe and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles.
Evangelism: We are going to let our light shine before men in such a way that they may see our good works, and glorify our Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16) Our most effective way to evangelize is “one to one, friend to friend” sharing the vital relationship we have with the Father.
Worship & Prayer: God is looking for radical young men & women who worship him passionately. Experiencing the presence of God is crucial to foundational growth of youth and is the life transforming power necessary for maturity.
Time Together: Healthy relationships are key to a balanced relationship with God. Today, youth are crying out for genuine love and acceptance from their peers. God imparts His life through spending time together.
Training: Equipping and “training students in the way they should go” will last them a lifetime. In a society that is consumed with information, the church must provide an impartation of principles.
Ministry: Students using their gifts to “serve one another through love” is a large aspect of our youth ministry. Meeting spiritual, emotional and physical needs of youth is our main focus.
Heirborne has developed as a “youth based ministry”. This means Heirborne is predominately led by youth. One of the most powerful influences in a teenager’s life is another teenager which is a huge opportunity for a swift revival. Students are no longer “looking down on their youthfulness”, but rather in speech, love, faith, and purity they are showing themselves an example of those who believe. (I Timothy 4:12)
We have a Core Team that carries a “functional” responsibility in Heirborne Youth Ministry. Students get involved as they commit to serve in a ministry area.
Our Youth Staff is a group of “hands on” care givers. Their role as a friend, big brother or sister, counselor, mentor, teacher, listener, and so on is vital to the spiritual development of students in Heirborne.
